Official information : The 1000 year old pilgrimage to the shrine of St. James in the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela is known in English as the Way of St. James and in Galician as the Camiño de Santiago. Over 100,000 pilgrims travel to the city each year from points all over Europe, and other parts of the world. So our Way of St.James has already started, walk with us :)))

Santiago de Compostela, Cathedral of St James
Dear Visitor,
In case you are still confused, we will give some explanations. We are Lena and Lena – 2 girls from Kharkiv, Ukraine, best friends and since some time – volunteers. Both of us were selected for an EVS ( European Voluntary Service) by and NGO in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. Our project started on the 1st of October,2008. And at first this blog was dedicated to describe our adventures in Spain. However, now it is December 2008 and we are still in Kharkiv, waiting for our visas. After being mad or upset, we decided that this part is as well a part of our project and a part of our way of St James, which will eventually lead us to our Santiago and our adventures in Spain. We dedicate this blog to our friends all over the world , who are interested in what we do and will follow it later on, when we will finally get to Spain, and also, to our future flatmates and volunteers of Don Bosco, so that they discover what we are doingat the moment, and where in the world did the 2 Ukrainian participants get lost. We sincerely hope that it will be interesting to all of you and appreciate your time and interest :)))
My soupse and I are former Peace Corps Volunteers (served in Kerch, Crimea from Feb 2005-May 2007). It was wonderful...we miss our life and friends in Ukraine...
I am currently getting ready to go to Spain (in late April) to walk the Camino de Santiago, so when I stmbled on your blog, I had to smile. It is a small world!

It makes me smile even more, as i was an exchange student in New Mexico, and have been to Santa Fe numerous times, have a wonderful host family there and dear friends. Wish you guys luck, and may this journey be enriching for you in many different ways.
